Now that we’ve been through all the groups and reviewed their positives, negatives and everything in between, how would I guess things are going to shake out?
Given my performance in my March Madness brackets this year with one of the lowest scores I’ve had in the past decade, take all of my predictions with a grain of salt.
Groups
Group A:
The small group of three where everyone at least gets another attempt in Redemption. I give Tuskers the wins over Brave and Horde, and then give Horde the win over Brave with a close fought armor brawl match.
Lazy Piglets | 2-0 |
E is for Emotional Damage | 1-1 |
Hangry Nubs | 0-2 |
N/A | X-X |
Group B:
Okay in this group we have the current DarkSide. squad who should carry pretty easily. Then there are three more teams led by Lazerhawks, where I think we could see some shakeup. Overall, I don’t see the two newer teams having quite enough to get out of the group.
No Spaceships for Old Men | 3-0 |
Lazerhawks | 2-1 |
Yamete Kudasai | 1-2 |
This is Suslik change my mind | 0-3 |
Group C:
Here again we have one team that stands out over the others. I think Chade and Of Essence make some plays this group and move into the second spot for the Redemption Road over Dracarys.
Spooky Action at a distance | 3-0 |
Of Essence | 2-1 |
New Eden Villain’s Valley | 1-2 |
Neural Nexus | 0-3 |
Group D:
Smile&Wave is the clear leader in this group. The remaining three teams all have a decent shot at Redemption, but I have to give the boost to my old teammates in Wildcard.
Smile&Wave | 3-0 |
disaste | 2-1 |
Snuffed Out | 1-2 |
C A M E L O T | 0-3 |
Group E:
This group is probably the hardest to call. After really considering everything, it’s hard to say that Odin’s won’t go through top of this group. Rote, Forsaken, and DrakeSide all also have chances to get through. In the end, I think Odin’s goes through with Rote both at 2-1.
Odin’s Call | 2-1 |
Aggressively Mid-Tier | 2-1 |
Paid Actors | 1-2 |
DrakeSide. | 1-2 |
Group F:
This is the group with CALSF leading the way against several decent teams that all have an opportunity to find their way out of groups.
Templis CALSF | 3-0 |
Slow People Eternally Raging Games | 2-1 |
Module Clickers Anonymous | 1-2 |
Worm’Hub | 0-3 |
Group G:
Here we have Only Need TWO Comps, CAS, BSOD, and No Need Loose Face. There’s no particularly contender I think that stands out in this group but I do think both BSOD and ON2C will push through at 2-1. This group could have advancements largely based on tiebreakers.
Bright Side of Death | 2-1 |
ONLY | NEED | TWO | COMPS | 2-1 |
Center for Advanced Surrendering | 2-1 |
NO NEED LOOSE FACE | 0-3 |
Group H:
7 Guys is the clear leader in this group with either RamRod or NoVac pulling up the Redemption slot. Cosmic Potion are complete unknowns but I don’t expect them to make great results in this group.
7 Guys 1 Sheet | 3-0 |
RamRod Redux | 2-1 |
No Vacancies | 1-2 |
Cosmic Potion | 0-3 |
Group I:
Hidden Ship and Rusty are probably the two favorites in this group given the struggles for The Ancients historically and German Railgun running into two very solid teams.
HIDDEN SHIP VILLAGE IDIOT CONTRACT SCAM eSports | 3-0 |
Rusty Hyenas | 2-1 |
Magnetschienengeschuetz 418 | 1-2 |
The Ancients | 0-3 |
Group J:
ON3C is likely the strongest team in this group of four with Arrival holding onto a relatively safe second. Fancypants or TTT will need to show up big in this group if they want to move on.
ONLY | NEED | THREE | COMPS | 3-0 |
Arrival | 2-1 |
Fancypants | 1-2 |
Trash Tier Tryhards | 0-3 |
Group L:
Exodus finds themselves in a group with three other relatively weak teams this time around. I give the edge for Redemption Road to the White Squall team as long as they can put together a solid comp and pilot it well.
Exodunks | 3-0 |
Ryba. | 1-2 |
New Jovian Mining Department | 1-2 |
Moss Piglet Preservation Society | 1-2 |
Group M:
In this group, I see Deepwater and burned my prop moving on going 2-1 each, with Test having a chance to take a match off one of the stronger teams but the NC. team taking down Test to relegate them.
Wokewater Boohooligans | 2-1 |
burned my prop sry | 2-1 |
Test tournament team please ignore | 1-2 |
NCdotte | 1-2 |
Group O:
Hole Control is the top team out of this group and really should go through without dropping a match. Goonswarm, D-sync, and SUS are all middling teams, and given Goon’s ability to show up in Anger Games tournaments I give them the slight edge for second.
appelsiinikilju.toimii fi | 3-0 |
Goonsnarm: Powered by AI | 1-2 |
D-sync | 1-2 |
Seriously Suspicious | 1-2 |
Redemption Road
Now that we’ve gone over who gets through into the main bracket and who drops to Redemption, we can place the teams into the Redemption bracket with the top 3 teams from this tournament advancing to the main bracket.
In the first round, there are going to be some close matches across the board. My particular choice to watch would be the Horde against Goons match which I give a slight edge to the Horde team. Rote against burned my prop should also provide some excitement.
The second round also has some big matches with Radakos and co going up against Rote, Chad Flame and the Of Essence team fighting with Horde and Khizraeli against Arrival. I think Rusty Hyenas will have an easier time with this match than they will against Brave in the first round.
Moving to the semi-finals, the winners of these two matches secure their spots in the main brackets while the losers will each need to fight each other for the third and final spot. I give the slight edges here to Rusty and Rote but it’s definitely not conclusive. In the third place match, I think the Wildcard team narrowly advances over the Horde team.

Main Bracket
In the main bracket, we are left with 16 of the strongest teams in the tournament. Each match will be relatively close and I’m sure I’ll need to remake my predictions for this part of the tournament after we watch the group stages. That said, at the end of the day, I think the DarkSide. team gets through what I could call the “AT16 Vydra half” while Barcode and Tuskers fight for the other remaining upper bracket final spot, eventually leading to Tuskers against DarkSide in the grand finals.
